Bland statements about road being more efficient may or may not be correct if the multitude of subsidies to the transport sector are included. RUC are likely to be way to low, but then ferry subsidies may be too high. I donāt know but I expect with your history you do.

Just as a matter of interest, how does the cost of transfer equipment & infrastructure compare with the cost of the rail ferry & infrastructure?
