Announcing the 2025 NZAE Conference — 25-27 June in Wellington🍋
Registrations open 26 March. Abstract submissions now open, closing 2 April (NOW 11 April)
The New Zealand Association of Economist’s 65th Annual Conference will be held at Victoria University of Wellington’s Pipitea Campus between Wednesday 25th and Friday 27th of June.
The conference is open to all with an interest in economics, across public, private and academic spheres.
We have confirmed three keynote speakers for this year’s conference:
Wendy Carlin — Professor of Economics at University College London (UCL), Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), and external professor at the Santa Fe Institute.
Jason Potts — Distinguished Professor of Economics at RMIT University and Director of the Blockchain Innovation Hub at RMIT.
Jacques Poot — Emeritus Professor of Population Economics at the University of Waikato.
Join us for discussions and networking, as well as keeping up to date with the most recent developments across many areas of economics.
If you’d like to submit a paper or poster for presentation at the conference, then please submit an abstract by Wednesday 2nd Friday 11th April. Submissions are eligible for a number of prizes, including student awards. Abstracts, of no more than 250 words, should be submitted here.
So get cracking on those abstracts. And please put the following dates, as appropriate, in your diary.
